     Thomas John Spiering III was born on May 1, 1982 just outside Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. When he was two he was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative disease that causes the weaken of the muscles.  Soon after Tommy, with his older sister, Amber and two parents moved to  Northern Virginia for his Father; Tom’s, job in construction. Eventually they moved to Leesburg, Virginia where he lives to this day.  Tommy’s mother; Pam, has work for Loudoun County Public Schools for 20 years in many facets, mostly relating to children with disabilities.  He also has two adopted siblings, Jamie & Katie both of asian descent.  At age ten Tommy was confined to a wheelchair and at age 20 with the advise of his doctor he want on a ventilator. Despite his struggles he graduate from Loudoun County High School and  has a Graphic Design Degree from Northern Virginia Community College. He credits his upbeat spirit and long-life to the merciful power of His Lord & Savior,  Jesus Christ,  He also feels the love and support of his family as the “Sustaining Rock” and helping him to out-live his Early-20's life expectancy.
