The Assassin's Creed franchise is traditionally a very accessible open world third-person game usually requiring only a single joystick. Unfortunately, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag requires the other joystick's directional functions because half the game is played sailing a pirate ship. The functions of secondary joystick controls the cannons of your ship during the sea battles. So to play you'll need the ability to either use two joysticks or one joystick and many switches, making it less accessible than most Assassin's Creeds.
